The Barton Marine Boomstrut, model 44030, is a durable, low-profile support system for sailing yachts between 25 ft and 30 ft (7.5m – 9m) in length. Designed to be used alongside an existing kicker or rope vang, it provides constant upward lift to support the boom, ensuring it does not fall when the sail is lowered or the topping lift is released. The system features two flexible coated fiberglass rods that flex when the vang is pulled down and straighten to lift the boom, aiding in maintaining sail shape even in light winds.
