About this product

The Blue Sea Systems 9012 L-Series solenoid switch features hermetically sealed, vaporproof contacts and ignition protection for installation aboard gasoline-powered boats. Designed for 12 or 24V DC systems, this 450 Amp Class switch is activated by a remotely mounted low-amperage ON-OFF switch. Integrated coil control minimizes heating and amperage draw.

  • Continuous ratings: 250A with 1/0 wire; 300A with 2/0 wire; 400A with 4/0 wire; 450A with two 2/0 wires.
  • Intermittent ratings, 5 minutes: 275A with 1/0 wire; 400A with 2/0 wire; 500A with 4/0 wire; 600A with two 2/0 wires.
  • Cranking: 1,000A for 30 seconds. Inrush: 2,000A for 0.25 seconds, 10 repeats.
  • Normally open, SPST-NO; control input: 9–36V DC.
  • Control connection: 20 AWG tinned wire. Operating current: 3.6A when changing state; 0.13A at 12V or 0.07A at 24V.
  • M8 stud accepting 5/16-inch terminals; length: 0.66 inch (16.76 mm); serrated flange nut. Maximum torque: 90 in-lb (10.17 Nm).
  • Mounting: #10. Switching cycles: 1,000,000. Weight: 1.00 lb (0.45 kg).
