C. Sherman Johnson Quick Release Lever model 14-205 is a Hyfield-type sailing fitting for rigging applications on multihulls, monohulls, catamaran shrouds, and forestays. It uses a 1/4 in. pin and supports wire up to 1/8 in.
- Approximate breaking strength: 2,500 lb.
- Safe working load: 1,000 lb.
- Lever take-up: 2-1/8 in. to an over-center position
- Quick-release pin for positive locking
- Positive stop helps prevent fingers from being caught between the fitting and wire when opened under load
- Large push pad surface helps close the lever under load
- Extender arm with 3 holes; available extender pin sizes are 1/4 in. or 5/16 in.
- Maximum wire size: up to 1/8 in. wire
- Recommended applications include catamaran shrouds and forestays on trailerable boats up to 26 ft.
