The CMC Marine Products BA-130 Break Away Mount is designed to protect your outboard motor and boat transom by allowing the motor to deflect upon encountering submerged obstacles. This unit mounts between the transom and the motor, providing up to 45 degrees of movement to help the motor slide over debris when operating in the forward direction at speeds under 5 mph.
Key Features and Specifications:
- Maximum engine rating: 130 H.P.
- 45 degrees of deflection for obstacle clearance.
- Integrated drawbar spring returns the motor to its normal operating position after deflection.
- Pre-drilled with standard B.I.A. hole pattern for installation.
- Weight: 28 lbs.
- Requires CMC part #13022 Transom Clamp Adapter for motors using clamp-style mounts with thumb screws.
- Limited 1-year warranty against defects in workmanship.
Safety Note: This unit is intended for forward movement at speeds below 5 mph. It is not designed to encounter obstructions while the boat is in reverse. Do not exceed the 130 H.P. rating.
