Newmar ERC-12-15 Emergency Relay/Charger

The Newmar ERC-12-15 Emergency Relay/Charger switches communications equipment to a standby battery when DC power is lost, then returns it to the power supply when service resumes. It also provides a trickle charge to maintain the battery while the power supply operates.

• Can be mounted vertically, horizontally, or upside down; two #10 sheet metal or wood screws are required. Inputs and outputs are isolated from the mounting bracket.
• Installation guidance: mount near the battery, avoid unventilated battery enclosures and areas where battery or other potentially explosive gases may be present, and reinstall terminal covers after wiring to prevent accidental shorting.
• If the power supply is out for an extended period, the standby battery may discharge; a supplemental charger may be needed to restore full charge promptly.
