About this product

The PSS PRO Shaft Seal is a mechanical face seal engineered for high-durability applications in demanding, corrosive, or high-pressure marine environments. This system features reinforced silicone bellows, a secondary shaft retention collar, and 316 stainless steel hose clamps with rolled, non-perforated edges.

The seal functions by creating a water-tight contact surface between a rotating stainless steel rotor and a stationary carbon flange. The carbon flange is designed to float around the shaft to accommodate vibrations and drive-line misalignment, while the bellows allow for axial movement caused by propeller thrust.
