This PSS Shaft Seal Maintenance Kit provides the necessary components to service and maintain PSS shaft seal systems. It is specifically designed for use with a 1 3/4" shaft and a 3 1/4" stern tube.
Regular inspection of the PSS bellows is recommended to monitor for signs of wear, aging, or deterioration. It is advised to replace the bellows every six years, along with the o-rings and set screws in the stainless steel rotor. Please note that environments with sulfuric acid vapor from non-sealed batteries or the presence of an ozonator may accelerate rubber wear and require more frequent inspections.
