For optimal performance, consult your engine and transmission specifications to determine the combined weight. R & D Marine recommends distributing 60% of the total weight to the rear mounts (transmission side) and 40% to the front mounts (opposite transmission side) when the center of gravity is not known. Choose a mount where your calculated per-mount weight falls nearest the middle of its capacity range.
