Shakespeare's 5215-AIS Squatty Body antenna is a 36 in. stainless steel whip antenna for AIS transceivers and marine VHF applications. Its low-profile design is intended for masthead mounting on sailboats.
- VHF Marine Band antenna with 3 dB gain
- End-fed half-wave stainless steel whip with sealed, tin-plated copper wire coil
- 7 MHz bandwidth within 2.0:1 VSWR
- Nominal SWR of 1.5:1 at 162 MHz
- Maximum input power: 50 watts
- Vertical polarity and 50-ohm impedance
- SO-239 connector with stainless steel L-shaped mounting bracket and retaining nut supplied
- One-section construction
- No DC ground; the antenna will read open on a continuity test
