About this product
Sika Sikaflex 295 UV is a black, one-component polyurethane sealant and adhesive for marine glazing and exposed joints. It cures when exposed to atmospheric moisture and is suitable for interior and exterior sealing, including bonding plastic glazing materials on boats and ships.
- 10 oz. tube with nozzle
- Suitable for plastic glazing materials, including PC and PMMA
- Suitable substrates include bright or anodized aluminum, GRP (polyester resin), stainless steel, timber, and two-component coatings
- Resistant to aging and weathering
- Application temperature: 10 to 35 deg C; optimum substrate and sealant temperature: 15 to 25 deg C
- Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of grease, oil, dust, and contaminants. Test on actual substrates and conditions to verify adhesion and material compatibility; seek manufacturer advice for materials prone to stress cracking.
- For experienced professional users. Tool and finish within the product's skin time.
- Uncured product can be removed from tools with Sika Remover-208 or a suitable solvent; cured material must be removed mechanically. Do not use solvents on skin.
- Can be painted before or after skin formation; test paint compatibility. Allow the sealant to cure fully before baking paint above 80 deg C.
