About this product
Sika Sikaflex-295 UV is a one-component polyurethane adhesive and sealant for bonding and sealing plastic glazing in marine applications, as well as sealing exposed joints. It cures when exposed to atmospheric moisture and is supplied in a white 10 oz. tube with nozzle.
- Suitable for interior and exterior sealing and for organic glass, including PC and PMMA glazing materials.
- Suitable substrates include bright or anodized aluminum, GRP (polyester resin), stainless steel, timber, and two-component coatings.
- Resistant to aging and weathering, with application properties suited to professional users.
- Meets requirements set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO); Wheelmark approved and approved for the OEM market.
- Apply to clean, dry surfaces free of grease, oil, dust, and contaminants. Test adhesion and material compatibility on actual substrates and conditions, particularly with materials prone to stress cracking.
- Processing temperature: 10 °C to 35 °C; optimum substrate and sealant temperature: 15 °C to 25 °C.
- Tool and finish within the product's skin time. Uncured adhesive can be removed with Sika Remover-208 or a suitable solvent; cured material can only be removed mechanically. Do not use solvents on skin.
- Can be painted before or after skin formation. Test paints under the intended conditions; paint may crack in the joint area due to lower elasticity than the sealant.
