TALOS In-Motion Lightning Detector for Boats and Watercraft with Mounting Base (SFD-1000-G)

The TALOS In-Motion Lightning Detector monitors for nearby lightning on boats and other watercraft, with visual and audible alerts that indicate storm distance.

• Alerts for lightning strikes up to 25 miles away.
• Color alerts indicate approximate distance: green at 25 miles, blue at 16 miles, and red at 6 miles. Audible alerts use one, two, or three beeps for green, blue, or red, respectively.
• When lightning is first detected, all 8 LEDs flash for 5 minutes; afterward, every other LED blinks while lightning remains detected.
• Mount the detector at least 3 ft. from cell phones, wearables, or other devices that emit electrical noise. A sequence of all colors indicates electrical noise detection.
• Auto-sleep mode activates when the ON button is pressed a second time. The unit wakes when motion is detected and returns to sleep after 30 minutes without motion.
• Requires 4 AA batteries; lithium batteries are recommended. Stated battery life is 1 year based on average use. Replace batteries when the unit beeps and flashes its LED twice every 10 seconds, and remove batteries before storage when the detector is not in use.
